As time goes by

Lunch with my best friend at Finches on Pender

Today the best friend and I met up for lunch at Finch’s Tea & Coffee House on Pender Street. I ordered the veggie sandwich on multigrain with potato nutmeg soup and masala chai tea. She ordered the avocado sandwich on a baguette with chamomile tea. The food was superb, and the atmosphere, lovely.

In less than a week, I leave for California. I return to home shortly after the 21st. She leaves for Mexico on the 20th, and arrives home early next year. We barely get to see each other as it is, and as it often happens, our vacation times tend to narrowly miss each other. This Christmas is no exception.

Her and I have been friends for over thirteen years now. Between then and now, time has taken us all over the place; different schools, different lifestyles, different goals, and different tastes in nearly everything—but despite that, we’ve always remained the bestest of friends.

Today, I’m thankful for soulmates.

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Indeed :). Thank goodness for soulmates. I don’t know what I would do without mine. My best friend lives in Texas (I live in Ottawa), and I haven’t seen her in about a year and a half. Still, I’m grateful for the fact that distance has never been an issue or a hindrance when it comes to our friendship.

I really love how you take pictures. ^_^
good friends are friends that you can always come back to after a long time and seem like you haven’t been apart from each other for even a day. it’s hard to comeby but amazing when you have it. -=]

At this time in my life, I’m kind of finding out who my “real” friends are; the ones who are/will always be there :) It’s a nice feeling to be close to someone even if you’re not physically together often/at all.

Kaylee says it all. My best friend lives in Florida and I in Philadelphia. You know how they say absence makes heart grow fonder. I think the same goes for this: absence makes soul grow stronger :-)

    Have fun in California!
