Simply lovely

Just the ocean, the bird, and the freight.

For the past week or so, I have woken up to bright sunny days, clear blue skies, warm weather and a perfect summer breeze. It’s hard to come up with the right words to explain just how lovely it is to be outside under the shade, a gentle breeze tussling my hair and tickling my skin while I sip tea and relax to sounds of my favorite old records and the dull hum of distant traffic. Nothing can accurately describe the experience, suffice to say I would glad live this moment a million times through.

It’s remarkably easy to live a busy life.

It’s remarkably less easy to slow down, unwind and just be.

No distractions. No phones. No work. No people. No problems. No drama. No worries. Nothing to do. Nothing to say. Nothing to be. I enjoy a good day filled with productivity as much as the next workaholic, but sometimes the soul just craves a solitude that only comes from leaving the world and creating a whole new one for just you and yourself.

Just you and yourself.

Try it sometime.

WHAT DO I DO NOW?

Sometimes it is so lovely to just go do something by yourself.

    And that’s gorgeous.

Arrrgggh, you lucky thing. It’s winter and there is that… winter sunshine. The type that doesn’t warm you up and blinds you temporarily.

I’m not a morning person (though I believe I would be if I woke up to that landscape every day).

    That picture is gorgeous.

I’d love to try it sometime, but I’m not sure it’s that easy. There are so many things that need to be done, etc, etc, sigh!

You get such a peace of mind that way. I do that at least one day each week.

I wish summer in NYC looked like your photo. It’s beautiful! I especially love the contrast in the photograph.

Since I’m unemployed for the summer, I’ve been kicking back and relaxing a little too much. I’m actually starting to crave a little work and structure in my life. Come late August though, I’ll be regretting this feeling lol.

Anyway, definitely enjoy your relaxation time =]

Sigh, I wish I could afford to ~slow down~ and stage a temporary escape (with my boyfriend, of course). Soon, I swears.

That picture is beautiful!! And it would be wonderful to spend a week – or even just one day – just enjoying life and doing nothing besides that. Just being, relaxing, feeling it. Never had a day like that before, though :(
