CHANELWOOD.COM - The internet domain of Chanel. Quirky commentary on life, book reviews, movie reviews, articles on fashion, photography portfolio and more.

I decided it was about time for a change. Whether it sticks or not is debatable, but here it is!

On the design: Like usual, it features lots of greys, Verdana, Helvetica, and #333. Unlike all my other previous designs, it has no images—just pure CSS— (ETA: now has images) and my all-time favorite question in the footer.

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood… how much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood…

    I DON’T KNOW CHANEL!

I do like your new layout though. :3

I love the design, Helvetica is one of my new favorite fonts as of right now.

    According to Site5 (http://urltea.com/2k8r):
we found that a woodchuck would chuck about 700 pounds of wood if a woodchuck could (and did) chuck wood

To be honest, it’s not one of the best layouts I’ve seen from you. I like the simplicity but I’m not sure if it looks too simple?

It’s a clean and simple layout, but I prefer your previous layout… :)
It is nice though, I really like the writing at the header and the footer :)

I love this theme, it’s beautiful :D mainly because I’ve always been a fan of simpler layouts. Makes the blog more interesting and easier to read.

I like the gradients! But I do prefer your previous layouts too.

And as for your woodchuck question in your footer, the answer is, “as much wood as a woodchuck could if a woodchuck could chuck wood”. xP

Okay, I found THE actual entry for the layout. All the same - I like it! The subtle gradients add for a nice touch and the background refrains from making things look /too/ simple.

Like Lisa said, though - preferred your previous one.

A very nice layout indeed — and oh! You have padding in this box! Except it looks different from the other input boxes, so it’s a bit incongruous.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, but isn’t Arial basically the computerized version of Helvetica?

Then again, according to Wikipedia, that’s why there are Helvetica lovers and Arial h8rs…k nevermind.

It’s a lovely new layout, and I love the footer, by the way. I can’t answer the question though, lol.

The header is unique too.. I haven’t seen many blogs like it. Thumbs up. =)

I really like it, but the “C” in “CHNL,” is really scratchy on my screen! Umm… I’m using Firefox with Vista, and my res. is 1280×800. :D
