Dear Vancouver City Workers,
October 10th, 2007I know y’all have good reasons for forcing us to collect 87 days worth of garbage in our garages and keeping us locked out of our libraries, city golf clubs, cemeteries and community centers, but enough is enough.
Go back to work.
Love,
Chanel
PS - We only have so many freezers. BODIES NEED TO BE BURIED.

You know there is always the thought of moving to the US! :P
Reply: …And lose my all brain cells and gain 30 pounds in the process? No thank you! :D
October 10th, 2007 at 7:33 pm(Just kidding - You know I love you guys.) The strike does majorly suck though.
87 days? That’s insane!
Dear Vancouver City Workers,
Please do as she says.
Concerns,
Lene
:P
Reply: Aww, how sweet of you. :D .. And yes, it is insane! Very much so!
October 10th, 2007 at 9:40 pmYikes! I used to live in Canada, and there always had been talk of strikes… I think there was a teachers strike in 1997, I believe.
The thought of striking in America is basically an invite to sudden and imminent death.
I believe in unions immensely, but 87 days is a bit too much. Unions were created to address the plight of a burdened class… but it seems to be creating another one itself.
October 11th, 2007 at 3:38 amGood god, I didn’t know that the strike included the cementaries. But I am majorly bummed about the libraries being closed because I currently have about a hundred dollars in total on both of my surrey public library cards and decided I was going to switch to vancouver public library and then they decide to go on freaking strike. It’s probably for the best anyways since I really do not have time to read ten books a week right now.
October 11th, 2007 at 9:40 am87 days is a looooong strike! You could always move to another city in Canada rather than the US :)
