Live from Motel 6 in Wells, NV! (Yeah, I had no idea where that was either until we stopped here)
34°F, sunny and windy = Absolutely fabulous
Las Vegas = Fabulous
Smoking indoors = Not fabulous
Getting deathly sick from 20 minutes in a smoky casino because you come from a place where indoor smoking is pretty much totally non-existent and from the caveman era = Definitely not fabulous
Taking 2oz of XanGo every two hours until you fall asleep and then waking up the next morning feeling 90% better = Priceless (And yes, fabulous too!)
… And just for the record, “Wells” is pronounced here as “Wales”, so if you try to type it into the GPS based on how it sounds when the locals pronounce it, you’re going to have a bit of trouble.
Pictures and videos to come!

I enjoy Vegas too, but DEFINITELY not the smoking indoors. Yechhh.
April 28th, 2009 at 10:47 amI got SO SICK in Saskatchewan when we spent an evening at someone’s house and they smoked indoors. I didn’t even realize it until the next morning, when I woke up feeling horrifically ill. It’s gross!

It’s weird to think of someone smoking indoors :S
April 28th, 2009 at 5:53 pmYeah, the smoking laws in Nevada are ridic. It’s not so bad in the newer casinos though.
May 1st, 2009 at 2:44 pmWow, sounds like you’re having a nice trip :)
I stayed in a supposed non-smoking room in Miami once. In a two star hotel to save money. Bad idea. Someone had definitely smoked in it before, and chances are it was a lot of someones smoking a lot. I asked maintenance if I could switch rooms but they said no and just sprayed some disgusting fruity fragrance all over the room. It gave me some incentive to sleep less and spend more time around the city though!
Ahh… what I would give for some sunny weather right now!
May 2nd, 2009 at 5:35 pm:0 I thought it was illegal to smoke indoors… I guess only in Canada.
Reply: I thought so too! Apparently, Casinos are the loophole – not just Vegas itself, because even in a casino in northwestern Washington they’re allowed to smoke. Unfortunately, It’s disgusting for everyone who doesn’t smoke. :(
May 2nd, 2009 at 11:10 pmThirty-four degrees Fahrenheit?! D: That is so cold! Did you mean Celsius? In 34 degrees with wind I would be freezing.
Reply: Hahaha, oops! I definitely meant Celsius!
