Wanted
October 26th, 2008Setting: Subway - 3490 Kingsway in Burnaby, around 7pm, Saturday October 25th.
You: Henry, from Czech Republic, white iPhone, bacon and chicken sub on whole wheat bread with ranch dressing, no olives. Lives just off Kingsway. Party Saturday night. The lady behind the counter said I was pretty and you agreed. You told her you were too shy to ask me my name, so I told you instead.
Me: Chanel, half Fijian, quarter French, quarter British, no iPhone present, veggie sub on whole wheat, Italian dressing, with olives. Lives by Killarney. Was heading to North Vancouver.
They say strangers are friends you just haven’t met yet. Hi. :)

The only thing I can say about this entry is ‘Awww!’. :)
October 26th, 2008 at 7:11 pmOOER. Is this romance I smell? ;)
Reply: Had I given him a phone number or last name (for Facebook), maybe. :(
October 26th, 2008 at 7:43 pmErm, have you two OFFICIALLY met? A romance mystery ;-)
Reply: Well, we met in Subway—he was in line in front of me. But technically, even though we exchanged a couple words, we’re still strangers who only just know a random couple facts including first names. :P
October 26th, 2008 at 9:01 pmAwwww this is such a lovely encounter! You remember his subway!
Reply: Hehehe yeah… It was so movie-like. :)
October 26th, 2008 at 10:36 pmNo olives? Are you sure you want to date a guy like that? =)
Reply: Hahaha, so funny that you mention that, considering that I am a huge olive fan and that totally crossed my mind, even just for the briefest second. :P
October 26th, 2008 at 11:07 pmAw, CUTE! He sounds cute, I hope you find him (or vice versa!).
Reply: He was very cute. :(
October 27th, 2008 at 3:03 amAnd it would be astounding but awesome if our paths somehow did cross again; straight out of the movies almost!
Awww…
October 27th, 2008 at 4:09 amI’m gonna nit-pick and say that technically, you were still in Vancouver, not Burnaby
Reply: I just Google mapped it, and you’re right! Weird. See, I was always under the (obviously wrong) impression that Boundary Rd was, well, the boundary between Burnaby and Vancouver. :P
October 27th, 2008 at 3:54 pmThat’s such a scene out of a romantic novel. Very cute.
Reply: I know eh? Totally made my weekend. :)
October 27th, 2008 at 6:52 pmBut Boundary Rd is indeed the boundary between Vancouver and Burnaby… Vancouver is to the west of Boundary Rd.
Reply: … And evidently I have the worst sense of direction in the world! :P I thought it was past Boundary, which is probably why I thought it was in Burnaby in the first place. I thought about it again and remembered it was by Samosa Garden, which is before Central Park (going from west to east) and therefore before Boundary, which explains everything now. Blonde moment. :P
October 27th, 2008 at 9:27 pmThis reminded me of the Missed Encounters section of craigslist!
Reply: Wow, I totally forgot about that! I love reading those. :)
October 29th, 2008 at 9:02 amHow cute!
