What’s up Toronto, what’s up?

I am back from my weekend in Toronto. All in all, I must say that it was one of the best weekends I’ve had in a very long time; we met some great people at the International Conference on Integrative, Complementary & Alternative Medicine (ICAM) & Mental Health (the reason we were in Toronto in the first place) and ate some superb food at number of great restaurants on Queen street.

By the way—If you ever happen to be in Toronto, I highly recommend you go to Fressen and try their vegan and wheat free chocolate dessert made with pure chocolate and AVACADOES for richness. I know that sounds incredibly nasty, kind of like those obscure bubble tea flavors like pork and strawberries, but trust me: IT IS GOOD. VERY GOOD. (I can’t say the same for pork and strawberries, however.)

Originally I planned on writing a bit about my weekend, but I’ll spare you the tedious pain of surviving the dreaded “post-travel report” and show you a bit of Toronto in photos instead. Behold:

On a slightly related note… I don’t know whose great idea it was to book two trips back-to-back, but this weekend I’ll be in Nashville, Tennessee. It is expected to be between 80-90 degrees all weekend. Do you know what this means, in about one word or less? SUCCESS. I knew it was only a matter of time before I travelled to a region that is actually experiencing weather appropriate for the time of year!

And no, to my knowledge pork and strawberry bubble tea doesn’t actually exist (though it wouldn’t surprise me)… but I have seen some pretty nasty combinations similar to that before! I almost swear I remember seeing a fish flavored one.

Enjoy the sauna that is Nashville… we’re waiting for you with some awesome weather for when you get back.

Reply: I bet you ANYTHING with will rain - because that’s what happens when I leave the city. Somehow, defying all logic, I carry bad weather with me … whenever I’m away Vancouver gets fabulous weather, and as soon as I get back it starts to rain.

Somehow though, I think any Vancouverite would tell you the same thing. :P
